You are invited to join us for our first ECA Bay Area Regional Workshop in person! The meeting will include Run Your Resilientville, a fun, interactive and inclusive group exercise that uses a human centered design approach for engaging and onboarding neighborhood stakeholders into community disaster resilience development. By designing the exercise around a real community and challenging both local and regional stakeholders to work together under real life disaster conditions, Run Your Resilientville has become a powerful resource for emergency managers to build partnerships rich in trust and interoperability.
Other speakers will include Jeff Airth (San Francisco Airport) who will educate and inform participants about SFO’s efforts in preparedness; Mark Benthien (ECA’s Executive Director) will provide a recap of ShakeOut and updates regarding the Mini Award program; Anne Rosinski (FEMA Region IX) will share information about mitigation opportunities through FEMA, and Shanna Chu (USGS) will share information on the latest Bay Area earthquakes.
There will be plentiful opportunities for networking, and after the workshop, you can tour the Aviation Museum to learn more about the history of SFO!
There is no cost to attend. As seating is limited, participation will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t wait!
