Great Oakland ShakeOut Drill and Preparedness Fair

The City of Oakland is holding a ShakeOut drill at the Fruitvale Transit Village. Officials from Oakland Fire Department, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Geological Survey, California Earthquake Authority, and the Unity Council will talk with the public and media about the importance of earthquake safety, demonstrate earthquake safety techniques, and demonstrate earthquake shaking with a mobile simulator.
