Quake Heroes Expo (Westchester Family YMCA) – Dec. 1, 6-9pm

The Statewide California Earthquake Center, RomaScope, and Westchester Family YMCA (near LAX) are proud to invite ECA members and the public to this free, family-friendly evening which will feature an outdoor screening of the “Quake Heroes” documentary film and a Seven Steps to Earthquake Safety information and resource fair. The film portrays the real-life inspirational stories from the 1994 Northridge earthquake, and how to reduce future losses via training, safety actions, and working together. Partners and vendors will be sharing useful information, registering attendees for safety trainings, and selling discounted preparedness and earthquake fastening items. In addition, there will be Quake Cottage earthquake simulator, a variety of activities for younger children, food trucks, fire equipment and demonstrations… and a “red carpet” film premiere experience! Take actions at each booth to complete your Expo Passport, and you’ll receive a ticket for our drawing to possibly win preparedness items and packages worth up to $400!
