ECA Bay Area's Spring 2022 workshop featured a presentation on enhancing resilience by exercising aspects of an earthquake scenario; 2022 ECA Mini Award recipients shared updates about their projects; ECA resources and activities were highlighted; and we had open discussion for attendees to ask questions and make suggestions.

ECA Bay Area Fall 2023 Workshop

The workshop included a debrief about this year’s ShakeOut, updates about Earthquake Early Warning and FEMA resources, overviews of ECA’s Mini Awards, and plans for the Loma Prieta Earthquake 35th anniversary.

ECA Bay Area Winter 2024 Workshop

UC Berkeley

Discussions at the UC Berkeley Seismology Lab focused on "slow slip" and earthquakes on the nearby Hayward fault (with a visit afterwards at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory), the Bay Area CERT Coalition, funding opportunities, and plans for the Loma Prieta 35th anniversary.

ECA Bay Area Spring 2024 Workshop

This workshop at the Rossmoor Retirement Community in Walnut Creek included presentations about earthquake hazards in the area, key issues for life after a “HayWired” earthquake, an overview of Rossmoor’s emergency preparedness efforts, and how to get free earthquake education and mitigation resources.
