This workshop will provide basic understanding and skills for how to reduce damage or injuries by securing your space (at home or work), and to help neighbors, friends, and family secure their space too! Every attendee who completes the training will be sent a "starter kit" of fastening items from Safe-T-Proof (normally $66).
The workshop included a debrief about this year’s ShakeOut, updates about Earthquake Early Warning and FEMA resources, overviews of ECA’s Mini Awards, and plans for the Loma Prieta Earthquake 35th anniversary.

All Californians are encouraged to plan and register their #TsunamiPrep activities (at work, school, and home) to be counted as part of California’s 2024 Tsunami Preparedness Week (March 23 – 31) - or on any other day of the year!
On Saturday, March 30, a special event for residents of the Coachella Valley will be held at the Rancho Mirage Public Library to raise awareness of what can happen during earthquakes and how we can all improve safety and resilience. The event is hosted by the Rancho Mirage Emergency Preparedness Commission, in partnership with the Coachella Valley Disaster Preparedness Network, the Statewide California Earthquake Center, RomaScope, and many others.
