ShakeOut Webinar for Healthcare Organizations

Individuals with access and functional needs, including those with physical or other challenges, need extra support during an earthquake or other disaster– and also must be included in planning and implementing emergency drills too!

This free webinar, organized by the ECA Healthcare Committee and co-hosted by Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills and Connect Consulting Services, presented ideas for how to design and conduct your healthcare organization’s exercise as part of the 2023 ShakeOut. Your planning should include providing alternative guidance to “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” and other accessibility adaptations. The webinar also emphasized the importance of incorporating individuals with access and functional needs within your overall emergency planning.
